It doesn’t take long for the costs of infertility to add up. Some infertiles need to take out loans in order to start or grow their families. Some have to sell their homes and move back in with parents to make ends meet while pursuing parenthood. For all of us the struggle is real.
After I came up with the idea of using ThreadHunters as a fertility fundraiser for our surrogacy journey, it wasn’t long before I started brainstorming how we could use it to help other infertiles as well. When I pitched the idea to my husband Malcolm with a few mock-up tee-shirt designs, I explained my idea of an affiliate program in the same breath.
Our affiliate program allows other infertiles to promote ThreadHunters and raise funds through purchases made through this affiliate link. Affiliation is open to anyone who is facing infertility through medical infertility (primary or secondary) or through their gender/sexual orientation. Affiliates must be actively working to grow their families through infertility treatments including medicated cycles and cycle monitoring/timed intercourse, IUI, IVF, surrogacy, or any form of adoption. Affiliation lasts for a year, and at the end of that time the affiliates can choose to renew if they are still actively on their journey or to suspend their affiliation if they are done growing their families for any reason.
Our hope is that ThreadHunters can help to ease the financial burden of as many families as possible who are dealing with the struggles of infertility.
